“Get Focused” Session

New to Insight Works and not sure where to start? A Get Focused session is a one-time, 25-minute 1:1 coaching session with Dr. Rooney designed to help you get oriented, make sense of what's going on, and figure out what your next step should be — whether that's a Reset class, ongoing coaching, therapy, or something else entirely.

For people who want continued, personalized support over time. Sessions are educational and skills-focused — built around understanding your patterns, learning science-informed concepts, and experimenting with practical strategies between sessions. The pace is flexible and guided by your goals.

How People Use 1:1 Coaching

People come to 1:1 coaching from different places, and they use it in different ways depending on what they most need at that moment.

As a starting point. Some people aren't sure where to begin. A one-time“Get Focused” session gives them a structured, supportive space to slow down, make sense of what's going on, and decide what kind of support makes the most sense. That may be a Reset class, a Rewire program, ongoing 1:1 coaching, a referral for therapy, or some combination.

To build on what they've already learned. Others come to 1:1 coaching after completing a Reset class or Rewire program. Coaching gives them a space to apply what they've learned, troubleshoot what isn't clicking yet, and refine their skills with individualized support.

For ongoing personalized support. Some people want continued, consistent support over time as they build new patterns, deepen their understanding, and make steady progress with someone in their corner.

Our coaching sessions focus on helping you understand what's happening in your brain and body, learn practical skills, and make informed decisions about your next steps. If therapy is a better fit for your needs, we'll help you think through that.

  • The easiest way to get started is with a Get Focused session. This is a one-time, 25-minute 1:1 coaching session designed to help you get oriented and figure out your next step. If you already know you want ongoing 1:1 coaching, reach out through our contact page and we'll find a time that works.

  • A Get Focused session is $50 for 25 minutes. It’s a low-stakes way to get oriented and figure out what makes sense for you. Ongoing 1:1 coaching sessions are $100 for 30 minutes or $150 for 45 minutes.

  • Insight Works provides education and coaching rather than therapy, so all offerings are self-pay. Since we are not a medical or healthcare business, our services are not covered by insurance or through FSA/HSA accounts.
